Before Hamilton, before Washington, before even much of Manhattan existed, there was Androboros! Mixing Elizabethan language with the commedia del arte of its day, this new adaptation will feature over a dozen original songs played live with a dancing, 10-member cast in an intimate setting. Based on a true incident that scandalized the young New York colony, the play is a great history lesson that is as funny and entertaining today as it was in 1714.

POSHLOST SAUDADES! (Music Director/Composer/Piano)

On the eve of the closing of a once-great ballet school, a young girl celebrates her Quincenera. Suddenly, a disruption: her incarcerated brother arrives, escaped from jail, to claim her as his one true love. The guests of the celebration wax and wane their love for one another - all of which are mutually exclusive - as they attempt to recreate Sergei Prokofiev's bombastic ballet Romeo & Juliet, re-imagined as a Dixie-Land jazz ballad.

This musical-dance-comedy reaches toward the impossibility of translation. How words fail us. How we fail words. The great human folly to desire what we cannot ever have. To remember what never happened. And to wish for what will never be.
